If you want an academically sound and industry relevant qualification to enable you succeed as a Project Manager in the IT and Services Industries then you’ve come to the right place!

The Asia Pacific International College’s project-based learning approach utilises projects and organisations as the site of learning.

Through a unique clinical approach by the end of your studies you will have acquired advanced knowledge and the necessary professional expertise required for a successful career in these industries. Throughout your studies you will practically simulate operations, systems, processes and transactions in the IT and Services Industries so that upon graduation you will be able to effectively participate in planning and management of projects, programs and operations.

Currently there is an acute shortage of project and program managers worldwide (particularly in the emerging economies) and the shortages are expected to worsen over time.

According to the Standish group, the primary causes for the failure of complex IT projects are poor planning, unclear goals and objectives, objectives changing during the project, unrealistic time or resource estimates, lack of executive support and user involvement, failure to communicate and act as a team and inappropriate skills. The IT and Services stream addresses these shortcomings and provides the necessary tools for life cycle management of IT/IS projects, business process re-engineering and IT governance.

The Asia Pacific International College is a Global Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and students are trained to PMBOK® Guide Standard, Program Management Standard and Portfolio Management Standard as well as OPM3 Standard. Upon completion of basic units/workshops in Project Management students acquire enough knowledge to sit for and successfully pass the Project Management Professional (PMP) test conducted by the Project Management Institute. Completion of courses and workshops entitle the participants to a number of PDUs of the Project Management Institute and CDP points of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and other relevant bodies. Most importantly, our courses in the IT and Services stream prepare you thoroughly for a career as an IT project and program manager. In addition, the courses prepare you for strategic roles (such as Chief Information Officer, CIO, and Senior Executive roles charged with IT governance).

In addition, students are encouraged to take on term projects on implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM) and other transformative systems.

The Asia Pacific International College is offering a number of Scholarships to International students from selected countries leading to the degree of Master of Business and Project Management (MBPM).

The objective of the Scholarships is to provide opportunities to talented students to train in the field of project and program management.
